Quilting Magazines

MagazineValues.comI just signed up to be an affiliate with these folks at MagazineValues.com because they carry a bunch of different quilting magazines. Check out their entire list of quilting magazines by heading over to their website (just click on the image to the left). They have American Patchwork & Quilting, Fon’s & Porter’s Love of Quilting, McCall’s Quilting, and Quick Quilts….just to name a few.

I like to order a magazine for a year to check it out, then I usually switch to another one. It’s fun to receive different magazines because they each have a different style and voice. So if you are in the market for a new quilting magazine, check it out. And if you’re not ready right this instant for another magazine, I’ll have their logo and link in my website sidebar for the foreseeable future so you can always head back to my website and find it (without searching all my posts).

Happy quilting!

Best Seller!

Garden Gradation Quilt by Lisa Bee-Wilson in McCall's Quilting Magazine

Garden Gradation featured on cover of McCall’s Quilting Magazine March/April 2013

Hey cool! I just found out My Garden Gradation quilt is one of McCall’s Quilting best sellers! Gosh, I’m just one proud mama! (And no….I don’t get any residuals….darn it…but I do get a lot of satisfaction!)

Subscriptions to Generation Q Magazine

Generation Q Magazine Subscriptions

Generation Q Magazine is a fresh new quilting magazine. They don’t have a huge distribution through quilt shops (yet), but you can get your own subscription now! Just click on the image above and you will be taken to Gen Q’s order page. They have a witty writing style and fresh new projects. It’s a little more expensive than some of the quilt magazines out there, but that’s because they are smaller. They got off the ground using Kickstarter (which I’m thinking of doing for Doug’s Nuts!) and need the subscriptions from all the quilters out there who want to support a small group of people trying to make it in the quilting world. I’m an entrepreneur (or so I’ve been accused!) so I understand the drill. Vote with your dollars!

And no, I don’t get any commission from them! I just know a good thing when I see it.

Happy quilting!
