This beautiful batik quilt was done by my friend Laurie. (Yes Laurie….now you’re famous!) Batiks can be tricky sometimes because the colors are so vibrant the quilting usually doesn’t stand out. So in some cases it’s best to do something simple. On this quilt we decided to do an overall swoosh ‘n swirl (Sheila Sinclair Snyder’s favorite) with a square design in the square. Then of course, to continue the theme, there is a square/rectangular border treatment, finished off with some simple leaves in the outer border. Happy quilting!



Wow…I’m really excited to see this in person! It looks wonderful. I especially love how the squares turned out.
