Birthdays are great! I took the day off from quilting and made some lentil sausage soup (thanks Marlene for the recipe), rosemary parmesan bread, and a german chocolate cake. This cake is my absolute favorite cake (coming in a close first to Sweet Life’s Chocolate Turtle Cake) and I try to make it every year on my birthday.
I also designed, sewing together, and quilted a small wall hanging using some new (to me) techniques. Stay tuned for pictures on this little quilt….happy quilting!
