Wendy made this quilt for her son who is now an Eagle Scout. She did a bunch of neat piecing and applique with all sort of “boy scout” things. So we decided to add some boy scout fleur de lis, eagles, stars, banners, some continuous curves, and a curvy background fill to round out the design. Using five colors of thread to match the top so as not to be too distracting, I think the final outcome came out nicely.
Happy quilting!
Oh how I wish your customer would share or sell a pattern for this! Absolutely love it!!!

I think she designed it; I don’t believe there was an actual pattern!

I would love to have one of these for my son who is finishing up his Eagle Project. Can you make another like this one?

I didn’t make the quilt; my customers did. I just did the quilting on it! But good luck if you move forward. There are lots of good ideas out there!

That is a fabulous quilt! The blocks are so appropriate for a boy/young man and scouting. Your quilting really sets it off…that quilt will be treasured forever. How special.
