2012 Blackberry Jam Raffle Quilt

The Pine Needlers outdid themselves this year! Every year a group of about eighteen women make a quilt for the Blackberry Jam Festival Quilt Show in late July. Raffle tickets are sold and the quilt is raffled off on the last Sunday of the festival. This year the fabrics were purchased at the Quilt Patch in Eugene, and they are  lovely soft combinations of batiks with one exception being the reddish fabric, which is a printed fabric.  The quilt will be on display at various locations around Eugene and Springfield (we hope), but since a picture speaks a thousand words, you can feel comfortable buying your tickets without actually seeing the quilt, right?

I designed the pattern (you might recognize it from the posts I did about the quilt for the rowing coach in Sacramento awhile back), and did the machine quilting.  I will also be selling the pattern…as soon as I finish writing it and putting it all together. It takes longer than one would think!

The tickets are on sale now from any member of the Pine Needler group. They are $1 each or 6 for $5.00 (a screaming deal if you ask me!). So don’t wait, buy your tickets now! All the monies raised from the sale of raffle tickets go back into the town of Lowell in some form or another: keeping the Blackberry Jam Festival free to the public, maintaining and improving the parks, helping out the schools in various ways, maintaining the Grange Hall, and even helping out maintaining the Covered Bridge. We are a very small town of less than 1,000 people, so as you can see, your dollars can make a big impact here.

And this is a quilt you will want to win!
