I’m still here! I know it’s been a long time since my last post. I had been regularly posting over the past two years, and then I fell off the bandwagon. But in reality I didn’t as much fall off the bandwagon as I climbed on another bandwagon! Let me explain….
Friends of mine, Doug and Kari, decided to start a business and asked me to join them. Because they are so talented and such wonderful people, I could not decline the offer, and so “Doug’s Nuts” was born. So since last July I’ve been trying to fit in two seemingly full-time jobs into one work day. Not as easy as it appears, I assure you! I love the quilting and couldn’t give that up, of course. And the new company isn’t at the point where it can pay us yet, so I need to “keep my day job” as they say. But I absolutely love doing both, so it’s not like this is a hardship by any stretch. There is creativity around every corner!
So even though I’m not posting, I’m still quilting! While it’s true I’ve turned a fair bit of work away in the past few months, I’m trying to keep a good balance in my life. I’m rowing and hiking and playing with Willow, and of course there is the odd journey out of town….which leads me to my next item…
I’m headed out of town on a quilt retreat today! I’m very excited to be able to work on some of my own projects over the next few days, and to reconnect with my girlfriends! So enjoy your day and I’ll be back here again in no time.
