Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! How cute is this one? Start your engines, ladies. Search your fabric stash. Let’s get cutting!
Now you’re probably wondering WHY you can’t see the entire piece. Well, believe it or not, I didn’t finish my project on time! Yes, it’s a self-imposed deadline, but still….a deadline is a deadline. Sheila finished hers, but I didn’t. So while I continue to work on it, I’ve taken some close-ups so you can IMAGINE how cute it is!
The “Barber Pole” table runner is the latest FREE pattern download for you from the team of Sheila Sinclair Snyder and I. This one is a bit more challenging if you do it with the cut out edges, but don’t be shy about just trimming those off – just like a barber pole – and binding it as usual. Either way it would look great.
As you might imagine, Sheila and I both came up with different versions of this pattern! And that’s the fun. We create a pattern, and then go off to our separate studios and create! It’s always fun to see what we come up. This time we did talk about the pom-poms, so we both used those…but again, in different ways.
You only need relatively small pieces of fabric for this pattern, and if you do it scrappy, it’s a great way to use up those odd-shaped long strips. I actually pieced one of my strips because I didn’t have enough. And I’m betting no one will notice. (Oops….but now that I’ve told you, you’ll be looking for it!)
So I will post FINISHED photos when I actually get it done. Hmmmmmm….something to look forward to?
