(Almost) Straight Lines

Sometimes a quilt just needs something “simple.” And although it’s not simple to do diagonal straight lines on a longarm machine (the machine head just loves loves loves to swirl and move all over the place on you!), sometimes it’s the right thing to do. So out came my template ruler. And I love the result.

Then on the border I felt swirly was in order. So this pattern sprang to mind (yeah, it did hurt a little). I used a dark gray thread on the black fabric, which when I had some thread build-up from going around the circle three times, looked kind of cool.

Happy quilting!
