This quilt by Arlene A. is a show stopper! She is going to putting it in the Emerald Valley Quilters show in early October, so if you live in the Eugene area, you might want to stop by and see her beautiful quilt up close and personal. Their quilt show runs from October 4-5, 2014.
It was fun to figure out a design that enhanced her piecing and really made the star stand out. I used a variegated thread on some of the interior borders which blended ever so nicely with the fabric. The start points called out for a simple and fun texture. The middle of the star just had to have bubbles….and of course there are more bubbles in the interior border.
