Quilt Binding Class

My friend and fellow most-excellent quilter, Teri Harter, is teaching a Basic Binding Class at Our Sewing Room next month. She is an excellent instructor and does the most amazing bindings you’ve ever seen. So if you’ve been quilting for years but struggling with your bindings, or are new and just needing the basics on how to get started, this is the class for you. Details from Teri’s class description:

Saturday, October 25th 10:30 – 4pm (bring your lunch)

Class fee: $40.00 includes a handout

Lets take the mystery out of binding. You’ll learn basic binding, bias binding, including continuous bias binding, applying and closing the binding, plus mitered corners, Prairie Points, continuous and individual, double sided, and easy scalloped edge binding. If time allows we’ll go over hand and machine finishing your binding. Make sure to pick up your supply list and have your quilt sandwiches ready for class.

Happy Quilting!

  1. Lisa: Thank you for the heads up. By the way can you suggest a good site to look for a felt board (or how to make one) to hang on my workroom wall, for designing quilt blocks. \

Thanks in advance for your advice
