Wow, who knew you could boil a can of sweetened condensed milk and have it turn into luscious caramel? Not me.
To make this ridiculously simple recipe, just put an unopened can on it’s side covered completely (don’t want it exploding!) in gently boiling water for two hours. That’s right. You don’t even open the can. I found this idea in a Martha Stewart magazine (make sure to read instructions carefully so you don’t explode the can). Cool completely and then open the can……beautiful creamy caramel.
I just found out recently too (also did a blog post on this last week! lol) it’s amazing. Can’t believe I’ve been missing out on it for so long
