I have no minimum for my longarm business. Sometimes I do tablerunners, sometimes small wall hangings. This baby quilt is just 27″ x 28.” As I build my business, no job is too small! On the other hand, it isn’t cheap to have a small piece quilted; but I’m willing to do it. So if you have some small quilts in your stash that you just haven’t had a chance to finish, give me a jingle, I’d love to help you out and get them finished. Remember “done” is a good word!
Who doesn’t like fish? Ok, ok…who doesn’t like quilted fish? This fun wall hanging, made by Kim K, was a present for her husband. It was fun to “do it up” with tight quilting with swirls and water whirls and fish scales and such. And I do believe that fish is smiling!
I made this quilt in memory of my Alaskan Malamute, “River.” It took me awhile to make this, but it finally got done few months ago. I chose purples because River was such a “girly-girl.” The quilt was constructed “as I went,” which is to say that I had no plan, I just kept adding sections as it progressed. Her name is quilted at the top in the border. I put flannel on the back so it is really snuggly and cozy – just like the hugs I used to get from her.
It was a very therapeutic process. Picking out which photos to print, figuring out how to make the quilt…all the while I was thinking of what a great dog she was and all the fun we had.
