Island Table Runner

This beautiful “island themed” table runner was made by Teri H.  She wanted the quilting to reflect the island feel of the fabrics, so I used a floral motif I found in the fabric. The swirls were also inspired by the fabric. Blue thread  accentuated the attractive blue and brown color scheme without being too intrusive. I understand that the table runner is going to be an anniversary gift – what lucky recipients!

Happy quilting!

Punch up the flowers

Well it is summer after all, so this quilt is a happy reminder of these warm days. This beautiful wall hanging was quilted using fun orange/purple King Tut variegated thread on the flowers and leaves. The background was done in a small loop meander with black thread. The borders had the variegated thread in the same loop meander. All in all, a very sunny warm weather quilt! Now get out there and enjoy the hot weather while it lasts! (Hey, this is Oregon after all!) Happy quilting!
