A little bit of creativity every day!
Every season has its wonderful features, and with fall it’s got to be pumpkins, squash, and leaves. The colors are so warm, which we need at this time of year when the weather turns cooler.
One of my friends made this wonderful tablecloth and I quilted it with a Baptist Fan design using a melon colored thread. I do believe next weekend I’ll be heading over to her house for a fall dinner with my cooking group, so it will be exciting to see it on her table.
I have a fabric stash. Does that sound like a confession? Well, it could be. Some of the fabric in my fabric stash if, well, shall we say, older. But older doesn’t mean bad, it just means it’s a different style than the fabrics that I collect now. After visiting some old friends in the California gold country, I decided to make a table runner for their antique table in their vacation home. I wanted the feel of it to be “country,” and amazingly enough, I had some fabric that supported that effort! And here it is! (Janice – I hope you and your family enjoy this little quilt for years to come! It will be in the mail to you by the end of the week!)
