My Quilts in McCall’s Quick Quilts!

McCall's Quick Quilts 2014December/January 2015 Issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts

I am thrilled to have two quilts in this issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts! One project is the quilt that came about during my Scrapalicious Class with Chris Daniels, and the other is the Kapow! Flower (which the magazine is calling “Just Bloom.” How exciting! I love seeing stuff in print….and they take such gorgeous pictures! So over the next few days I’ll put in photos and links to these two projects.

Subscription issues will begin shipping October 14, 2014. By October 28, 2014, the issue will be available on newsstands, as well as in print or digital download format at at the following link:

Scrapalicious Class New Location

Solid Gold Close up
Solid Gold Close up

Starting this month I’m moving my monthly Scrapalicious Class to my home studio in Lowell!

The class will still be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month (October being an exception….see dates below!).

I will set up tables, chairs, ironing boards, irons in my sunroom. You should bring your scraps, your sewing machine, your rotary cutter and rulers, and your misc sewing tools.

Remaining 2014 class dates: Oct16, Nov 13, Dec 11

The only other change will be that you need to RSVP if you are coming. If you are signed up for the 6 session package , you will get credit for any missed classes if you contact me. If you are a drop-in, please email me to let me know you are planning to attend. I need to know how many chairs and tables to set up! Class will be limited to six students.

Rates: 6 session package $48 or $10 monthly drop-in

There is plenty of off-street parking. As winter approaches, if the roads are bad, I will cancel the class and let you know via this blog.

Looking forward to seeing you at Scrapalicious! For some of you that means “getting out of town” or getting out of your own studios to carve out some of your own creative time….let’s get inspired!

Scrapalicious Class so Much Fun!

Our first Scrapalicious Class was great fun. There were piles of fabric being cut into various sizes, and designs were put up on the design wall at Our Sewing Room. Lelani choose to create a unique potholder out of some very fun scraps, and we are hoping to see the finished product next month (along with her doll creations)! No pressure…..uh, well, maybe a little pressure! But it’s all in fun.

This is an on-going monthly drop-in type of class, so feel free to join in whenever your scraps get overwhelming. Just call Our Sewing Room to sign up, or you can sign up right here on my website on my Classes page.

And if you are coming to the class, remember to bring examples of your scrap quilts if you’ve done any before. We love show ‘n tell!

Happy quilting!
