This fabulous fabric was turned into a fabulous quilt by Joyce W. She designed the quilt herself and made the most of the large scale feature fabric. She didn’t want to cut it up into little pieces (good decision there!) and so she created three large panels, and put some solid fabric strips between the panels. She even put a flange around the inside border which really tied it all up.
And then she asked if I could quilt the baby’s name and birth date in it….which of course I was happy to do. And because of the “jungle” theme, I thought the border should have a curvy, swirly jungle-y (new word!) feel. In the end, I had a ROARING good time quilting it!
